SHORT BIO

Rowan Willcock was born on a farm in East London and educated at Cambridge High School, whereafter he attended Cedara Agricultural College. He graduated with B Juris and LLB degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University). Rowan joined Joubert Galpin Searle in 1990 and was appointed Director in March 1995. Heading up the Labour division at Joubert Galpin Searle, Rowan has gained extensive experience and exposure in all areas of the industrial relations field. Rowan is fluent in Xhosa and has considerable experience in industrial disputes, appearing in the Labour Court, CCMA and private Arbitration hearings. Rowan regularly presents seminars on Labour Relations matters. Rowan is also a keen sportsman and enjoys trout fishing, scuba diving and mountain biking.
