SHORT BIO
I am a 55 year old man and I am a member of the Pretoria Society of Advocates. I have been practicing as an advocate in private practice for more than 20 years. I practice in all the areas indicated below as well as in criminal law and criminal procedure. I obtained the degrees B-Iuris and LLB from the University of South Africa through part-time study while being employed by the Department of Justice, where I served as a prosecutor, magistrate and State Advocate for a total period of 15 years. I have been married to my wonderful wife Johanni Barnardt, for 32 years. She is also practicing as an advocate and we have three beautiful boys who are all adults and who I love very much. I love doing all kinds of handwork and especially woodwork. I alone have personally manufactured all my office furniture and various pieces of furniture in our home and our son's homes. I am a very keen fly-fisherman and take to the water whenever I get an opportunity.
