SHORT BIO

Gert J. Jonker is the founder and director of a number of non-profit organisations for community development, social transformation and child protection. He has extensive experience in establishing, leading and delivering programs, projects and services that improve the safety and wellbeing of the most vulnerable members of society. He has a strong academic track record (PhD candidate, Criminology) and effectively leverages wide-ranging skills across strategy formulation, welfare, development, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. He is a service-orientated, hands-on leader who builds collaborative working relationships and communicates persuasively at all levels with a focus on inspiring, motivating and empowering others.
